Saxon

 

Saxon is too young for OFA. He will have all his health cerf. completed  when he reaches the required age.

 Saxon is a registered  therapy dog and breed ambassador  

 

Saxon is the king. I have so much hope for his future, but I am graitful for every moment I have with my nobel and proud Saxon. Like his father, Saxon is a sweet charmer, but he also has the heart of a lion. He has extreamly high food and toy drive. He is very intellegant and he loves to solve his own problems. Failure is not an option for Saxon, because he loves victory and the ablity to make me happy.  Saxon thinks he is the king and the world is his own little play ground. I never had to explain anything to Saxon because he always had the courage and determination to rise to any challenge. My biggest challenge is keeping up with him.

Currently Saxon and I are training for French Ring Sport. Our trainer is Adrian Centeno. Saxon is a proud member of the So Cal All Breed Ringers (SCABR). 
 A successful working dog is  a direct reflection of it's trainer's natural  abilities, devotion,  and integrity. Very few trainers have both the natural and acquired ability to successful find the solutions to allow  a dog to excel past it's natural abilities. Adrian Centeno has the rare talent to become both the dog's friend, sourse of strength, and guide into unlocking the dog's true potential. Not my trainers have both the instinct, heart, and knowledge to train and find success with the a less respected, slightly more difficult, or less popular breeds. Thru the years of searching for both the perfect dog, training decoys, and  trainer, it seems that I saved the best for last.

SAXON HEAVY METAL ROCK BAND

I believe the selection of a dog's name is very important, because dogs tend to live up to their names. My dogs are my passion... a passion that my husband will never fully understand. Music is my husband's first love and I will never fully comprehend the full depth his obsession for music.All my dogs are named after legendary music bands that influenced and forced new evolution in music. Like the bands my dogs are named after, I hope that my dogs will as be a positive influence in the evolution of the working groenendael/ belgian sheepdog. Each name combines the love of music and dogs.

My Saxon was named after a band that shaped and influenced heavy metal. Unlike many metel bands, Saxon "the band" has been a constant player in heavy metal scene. Like the band, my little Saxon is a true metal warrior with the determination to succeed. 

Saxon are a British heavy metal band, formed in 1976 in Barnsley, Yorkshire.  As leading lights in the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal they had a brief period of UK TOP 40 success in the early 1980s, and also tasted success in Europe and Japan. They still tour heavily and regularly. Their latest (in support of  The Inner Sanctum album) tour is their largest in the UK since the early 1980s. Until this, the band's fame had been focused largely in Germany for many years.
