Every dog is different. Each family has different needs and prioritize importance of behaviors differently. All dogs have their own learning process and different preference in training style, so cookie cutter programs created to embrace all dogs and owners are not the most ideal program. I like to meet the dog, the dog's pack, the family, and embrace the actual needs of all parties. My goal is to help bridge the gap between dog and human so they can achieve success together. Translating, guiding, and constructing a program that fits each dog and their owners is my job and I design a program based upon the dog's strengths, needs, and weakness. Actual training programs are customized to help both the dog and their owners find a path to achieve united harmony and focus upon what works for their lifestyles and social demands. Basic obedience classes offer a suggest agenda , but at H Be Iron, the goal is to offer a more personal touch that focus upon helping dogs become successful members in the community.

This is your introduction into scent work and how to become a working team with your dog. Key points covered in this introduction course is to explain the basic mechanics and principles of nose/scent work, how to signal start of search, correct rewarding/timing, basic handler skills, and choices of reward for your dog’s finds. Showing your dog how to use his nose, how to start a search program with a solid pattern foundation, and how to encourage your dog to believe in It’s own capabilities to find success. 

There comes a time that a trained service dog would help benefit the family very much, but the cost of a fully trained service dog is beyond the financial budget. Maybe the cost of buying a fully trained service dog is not the biggest problem, but the strains of adding another dog to the family would be too much. Rusty the family dog has been in the family for 5 years and he is more than just family. The thought of replacing Rusty or complications of getting another dog that could create conflicts or strains is out of the question. What do you do? You call everyone about training Rusty for service work, but only find why Rusty isn't the ideal breed, age, or size.
